Dr. Sohrab Ansari

Dr. Sohrab Ansari grew up in Albuquerque, NM where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of New Mexico. He moved his family to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. After searching far and wide, he decided to settle in the greatest city of Royal Oak, MI. Dr. Sohrab Ansari is very excited to be in Royal Oak, MI and honored with the privilege of carrying on Dr. James Hostes’ legacy in caring for his patients.

He enjoys all aspects of dentistry. Dr. Ansari spends a considerable amount of time each year learning the latest techniques developed in dentistry in order to provide the highest quality of care. He is an avid learner and sincerely enjoys the relationships he builds with patients. He has always made community service a top priority.

Dr. Ansari is an active member of Michigan Dental Association and Fellow of International Dental Implant Association.

In his free time, Dr. Ansari loves staying active. He loves to spend time with his two beautiful children, read, meditate, do yoga, go on long hikes, snowboard, play chess and listen to music.

Dr. Chris Dollar

Dr. Christopher J. Dollar was born in Metro Detroit. He spent his early years in Huntington Woods before moving to Troy. He earned a Biochemistry degree from Central Michigan University in 1995, and received his doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2007. After graduating, Dr. Dollar was an Associate at multiple group practices in Clinton Township, Shelby and Clarkston. While an Associate, Dr. Dollar envisioned what “brand” of dentistry he would like to practice. Fortunately, he found Berkley’s Dr. Roger Black DDS and developed a strong working relationship with him.
Dr. Dollar’s brand of dentistry focuses on trust and family. He is committed to the team, and sees his team as an extension of his own family. He focuses on the strengths of his team, and believes time spent together should involve talking, listening and laughing.
Dr Dollar is an advocate of continuing education, for both himself and his team. He is an active member in several organizations, including, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Macomb-Oakland Dental Association, United States Dental Institute and the Berkley Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Dollar has been married for 20 years and has two boys. In his free time he enjoys being with friends, family and spending time outdoors. He has become an avid runner, participating in multiple charity events.

I attended The Dental Hygiene Program at Baker College in Port Huron and Graduated in 2010. I’ve worked at this office for 6 years prior to its transition to Serenity Family Dentistry. I enjoy treating patients and giving everyone an individualized experience to their personal oral care needs.

I live in St. Clair Shores with my husband, daughter, and 3 dogs. What can I say, we have a soft spot for furry creatures. In my free time, which I no longer have since welcoming our beautiful daughter into the world in September 2017; I love spending time with my family and friends, cuddling with my dogs, listening to music, and camping.

Graduated from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene.

My husband is a Systems Engineer and we have been married for 26 years. We enjoy traveling (especially cruises) and raising many cat "kids" through the years. I personally enjoy gardening, reading and a variety of crafting projects.

The rewarding experiences of my career have been developing wonderful relationships with the patients. My goal has always been to educate them on the important issue of good dental health and keeping their teeth for a lifetime.
